"Art has no boundaries or borders." - Farah Yasmeen Shaikh
For over two decades, Farah has shared the art of Kathak with audiences across the globe, dedicating much of her time to performing and teaching in Pakistan.
"Farah being connected or reconnected to the Pakistani scene of dance and performance in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad has been wonderful. I think it is wonderful that someone living so far has their focus on coming back to Pakistan and contributing in her own way to support and promote this art form"
- Moneeza Hashmi
With an approach to cultural sensitivity and the need for historical context, Farah has performed and taught at international festivals, conferences, and events.
Displaying traditional and innovative works of Kathak, as well as collaborating with artists representing other styles, Farah’s unique and adaptable approach to her work has made her a valuable contributor to the global arts ecosystem.
